What a great Christmas present. We got to take Lorin home with us today. She is doing great, she now weighs 8lb. 14 oz. Gettin big already. Thanks to all of you for your prayers. We hope you have a blessed holiday season.

I went to visit Melinda last night, and I was able to see Lorin. She is so precious!! I just can't wait to hold her!

Melinda was released from the hospital last night. She is doing well...just waiting for a baby to come home. We added some pink things to the baby room...fun!!

Update...

Lorin is still making great progress! She is eating 1 oz at each feeding now. The MRI results came back with great news...everything seems to be fine. They will do another MRI in 2-3 weeks just to make sure everything is ok. Lorin will continue to be in NICU through Christmas day and will be released to go home that afternoon. Melinda will be released from the hospital in the morning.

Lorin is making progress...

I just talked to Melinda and things are going very well! She was able to feed Lorin at her 3:00 feeding. They read the MRI and it seemed to look good. They are still sending it for a 2nd opinion to make sure. She has lost a little over a pound though...she is down to 7 lbs 4 oz. She is just getting 1/2 oz of formula at a time, but they will increase it to 1 oz tomorrow. Please continue to pray for her!

Todd took some more pictures today, and we will try to get them posted...not sure how that will work yet. :o)

Melinda got to hold her!!!

Melinda got to hold her today! She has been taken off oxygen and received her first feeding. Melinda said she sucked down 1/2 oz. in no time! She will start regular feedings every 3 hours. Melinda did not get to feed her the first time because they wanted to make sure everything went fine, but she will get to feed her the next time.

They did the MRI this morning and will have the results in the next day or 2.

Sweet baby Lorin

Baby Lorin was put into NICU last night. She wasn't breathing well, and her oxygen levels were too low. She had a CAT scan today, and the results showed 2 blood spots in her head. One of the areas with the blood, is the area that controls the breathing. She will have a MRI tomorrow which should give more information. The results from the MRI could take a couple of days. The little mask around her head is to protect her eyes from the bright light. She was becoming jaundiced so they put her under the light. She is getting 40% oxygen and they are trying to wean her off to 21%...not really sure what all that means, it is just what Melinda told me. Lorin will be in the hospital for at least 10 days. Melinda should be released on Tuesday or Wednesday.

She is just as precious as can be... I was able to go into the NICU with Melinda to see her. She was sleeping peacefully on her tummy with her legs curled up like a frog...just too cute!!

Jaxon's Visit to Santa

Nana and Hollie took Jaxon to see Santa afer he got to see his new baby sister and kiss his Mommy and Daddy.

He told Santa (and everyone at the hospital) that he wants carsdvdsandtrucks...cars, dvds, and trucks!
